The Historic Village of Georgetown

 

Gaslight Theater – Built in 1907 and renovated in 2000, the Gaslight Theater is home to several cultural activities throughout the year. U.S. Grant Celebration – This event is held during the last week of April and celebrates the birthday of Ulysses S. Grant, our 18th President of the United States. Activities include Civil War reenactments, narrated walking tours of the Historic District, and authentic Civil War era displays throughout the Village of Georgetown. Brown County Fair – Known as the “Little State Fair”, the Brown County Fair is held on the last week of September. This week long event includes tractor pulls, livestock shows, amusement rides, games, and plenty to eat. The Brown County Fairgrounds are located on S.R. 125 in the Village of Georgetown. Concert on the Square – This event is sponsored by the Georgetown Arts Council and takes place on the courthouse square located in downtown Georgetown. Past performances have included appearances by the West Union High School Steel Drum Band and the Vic Daniels Quartet. For more information call 937-378-4784.

Ohio Valle Antique Machinery Show – This event is held during the second week of August and takes place at the show grounds on S.R. 125 one mile west of Georgetown. The show features several displays, antique machinery, and demonstrations throughout the 4-day event. For more information call 937-378-4480

Brown County Bluegrass Festival – This event is held during the last weekend of August and features several top name groups in Bluegrass music. This event is held at the Brown County Fairgrounds located on S.R. 125 in Georgetown. For more information call 513-724-2662.

Farmers Market - On the courthouse square every Saturday during the spring and summer months.
